The Friends of the Joliet Public Library is a non-profit organization made up of people who support the library by raising funds to help sponsor programs and provide library materials.
Since 1968, the Friends have donated over $150,000 to
the benefit of Joliet Public Library patrons and staff.
Our Friends group :
Sponsors and provides funding for library programs/events
Provides matching funds for grants
Provides funds for the purchase of items for the library's collection and computer hardware and software
Provides volunteer workers for library events
Raises funds by maintaining an ongoing 'book sale' and selling T-shirts at both library locations
Holds small book sales at library events
Holds larger sales several times per year
Are allowed early admittance to sales and first pick of sale items
Meet quarterly to discuss fundraising ideas and set sale/meeting dates

Monetary donations in addition to regular membership dues are very welcome. These can be for memorials or any purpose(s) you specify.
Endowments and bequests are also very much appreciated
