Tax Preparation Assistance

The Center for Economic Progress will be at the Joliet Public Library 3 times a week starting in late January offering tax help for low income families. Patrons will need to contact them directly to make an appointment or with any questions. Their web site is http://www.economicprogress.org/clients/free-tax-help


Tax Forms

Joliet Public Library will be receiving a limited amount of tax forms from the IRS and the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Forms can be downloaded and/or printed from any computer or mobile device and sent to our printers. Mobile printing is available at both our locations.


Ordering Forms

Many IRS forms and publications can be ordered and sent in the mail through the IRS page: Forms and Publications by U.S. Mail  or call 1-800-829-3676 to order. 

Illinois tax forms can be found on the Tax Forms page or call and order by phone at 1-800-356-6302.


Phone Numbers & Websites

The Joliet Public Library has partnered with the Center for Economic Progress (CEP) to provide free tax return preparation for low income families and individuals. This service will be available at the Ottawa Street location on the second floor of the building.  No appointment is necessary. Those who arrive first are served first.

Wednesdays & Thursdays: 5:30-8:00 pm
