Using Library ComputersDesktop computers with filtered and unfiltered internet access are available for public use at both library locations. Ask our staff to be directed to the computers needed for your tasks.
Wireless InternetFree Wireless Internet is available during the hours the library is open. Access our Wireless Internet by turning on the ‘Wi-Fi’ on your device and connect to ‘jolietlibrary-wifi’. No password is needed. Wireless users assume all risks.
Mobile PrintingMobile printing is available at either location with no additional software needed. You can send print jobs from any place outside of the library or from your device into our printers via our website.
Tech HelpComputer Lab staff are available to assist with basic technical questions while you are using a library computer. One-on-one sessions for additional assistance are available in the ICC at the Ottawa Street Branch or at our Black Road Branch. Call for an appointment at (815) 846-3115. Computer ClassesClasses are currently offered through our Digital Media Studio located on the lower level of the Ottawa Street Branch.

SKYPE Service for Military FamiliesIf you have a loved one serving in the military out of state and would like to videoconference with them via SKYPE, contact the Digital Media Studio at (815) 846-3127 for an appointment. This service is free of charge and you do not need a library card. Certain restrictions apply.
Digital Media StudioOur Digital Media Studio offers the public a wide variety of technology equipment and classes. The Studio is available to entrepreneurs, business owners, and individuals that would like to take their business to the next level by utilizing our state-of-the-art-devices.
Mobile HotspotsStay connected while on-the go with one of our 4G LTE mobile hotspots. Connect up to 10 Wi-Fi devices simultaneously and for long-range Wi-Fi, both indoors and out. Hotspots may be checked out at either library location and are available to Joliet Public Library cardholders only. Patrons under 18 must have a Parental Internet Access Consent Form on file with the library.
