We’re moving forward! Today, bid readings will be held at the Joliet Public Library Black Road Branch at 11 am as part of our ongoing construction project.
This important step brings us closer to the exciting updates and improvements we’ve been planning. Contractors submitted their proposals for the upcoming work, and today’s readings are a vital part of the selection process. Each bid will be carefully reviewed to ensure we’re choosing partners who align with our vision, values, and commitment to the community.
The upgrades to the Black Road Branch will enhance your library experience, from more welcoming spaces and modernized infrastructure to better functionality and accessibility for all.
Our staff also moved our Large Print Collection and cleared out shelves to get ready for the upcoming renovation. Staff will continue shifting materials throughout June to prepare for construction starting in July.
