Student Library Cards Available to Joliet Area Students
All residents of the City of Joliet, Joliet Township and Rockdale, birth to 17, are eligible for Joliet Public Library cards at no additional cost to the household. These cards are made possible by the passing of House Bill 2096 “Cards for Kids Act” expansion and support of the Joliet Public Library Board of Trustees.
Your child will receive a library card in the mail upon receipt of this application. We look forward to having your child as the newest member of Joliet Public Library!
Student applications received by Joliet Public Library for residents of neighboring towns (ie. New Lenox, Shorewood Troy, Channahon-Minooka, Plainfield or Manhattan) will have their information routed to the appropriate library for consideration. Residents of Shorewood, Manhattan, Elwood and Plainfield are encouraged to visit the following public library webpages to directly apply for a library card:
