The Black Road Branch will be closed from December 15 through January 1 while we complete construction and prepare the library for a refreshed and more spacious experience.
When we reopen, construction will not be fully complete, but you will enjoy significant improvements, including:
- Our full collection available for browsing
- Much more open space throughout the building compared to Phase 1 of construction
- Updated children’s and adult areas to explore and enjoy
- Only the meeting rooms on the north side will remain unavailable during this phase
What’s available while we’re closed?
- The drive-thru window will open on December 22
- Our Downtown Branch is fully open
- Nearby Pinnacle libraries: Shorewood, White Oak, and Plainfield are also available
Please keep in mind that we do not have the new furnishings just yet. They have been ordered.
